Begin 2024 begon voor ons, Tom en mij, een nieuw hoofdstuk: het avontuur van ondernemen. Met de officiële lancering van LabLife zetten we onze eerste stappen als zaakvoerders van een bedrijf dat zich toelegt op lab equipment qualification en operationele ondersteuning in GxP-omgevingen.
Dankzij een sterk netwerk, waardevolle connecties en vooral een enthousiast en ervaren team kende LabLife een mooie start. Daar zijn we trots op. Tegelijk brengt ondernemen, zeker in de beginfase, ook de nodige uitdagingen met zich mee. Denk aan het bewaken van je bedrijfscultuur, het opzetten van processen en het maken van commerciële keuzes.
Daarom starten we met deze blog. Niet als een succesverhaal, maar als een eerlijke blik achter de schermen. We willen hier:
- onze ervaringen delen als jonge ondernemers,
- transparant zijn over de uitdagingen en groeimomenten,
- en vooral onze inzichten en kennis rond lab support, compliance en consultancy overbrengen.
Wat we in deze blog delen, zijn onze persoonlijke ervaringen en inzichten. Het is hoe wij het aanpakken en beleven, en we beseffen dat anderen hier misschien anders naar kijken, en dat is helemaal oké.
We geloven sterk in kennisdeling en hopen met deze blog niet alleen (toekomstige) klanten of collega’s te informeren, maar ook anderen te inspireren die zelf overwegen om de stap te zetten richting ondernemerschap en/of consultancy, in onze sector of daarbuiten.
LabLife groeit elke dag, en wij groeien mee. We leren bij, blijven kritisch en doen ons best om tegelijk een kwaliteitsvolle service te bieden én een fijne werkplek te zijn.

At the start of 2024, a new chapter began for us, Tom and me, the adventure of entrepreneurship. With the official launch of LabLife, we took our first steps as business owners of a company dedicated to lab equipment qualification and operational support in GxP environments.
Thanks to a strong network, valuable connections, and above all an enthusiastic and skilled team, LabLife got off to a great start. We’re proud of that. At the same time, entrepreneurship, especially in the early stages, comes with its fair share of challenges. Things like safeguarding company culture, building processes, and making business decisions.
That’s why we’re starting this blog. Not to tell a success story, but to offer an honest look behind the scenes. Through this blog, we want to:
- share our experiences as young entrepreneurs,
- be transparent about the challenges and growth moments,
- and most of all, share our insights and expertise in lab support, compliance, and consultancy.
What we share here reflects our personal experiences and perspectives. It’s how we approach and experience things, and we fully understand that others may see it differently, which is totally fine.
We strongly believe in knowledge sharing. With this blog, we hope not only to inform (future) clients or colleagues, but also to inspire others who are considering taking the leap into entrepreneurship and/or consultancy, in our field or beyond.
LabLife is growing every day, and so are we. We keep learning, stay critical, and do our best to deliver both high-quality service and a great place to work.
